If you look outside your window and stare at the skies long enough you just might see the hip-hop stars aligning to right now. How else could you explain "Forever," a collaborative effort which finds Drake joining forces with three heavyweight rappers: Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem?

"Forever" was originally an unreleased song that hit the mixtape circles awhile ago with Drake, Lil Wayne and Nut Da Kid. It was then repackaged to include Eminem and Kanye West. "Forever" is set to appear on the upcoming LeBron James documentary, More Than A Game.

Venom is the third studio album by American rapper Chamillionaire. Confirmed producers for the album include Don Cannon, Mannie Fresh, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and Drumma Boy. Confirmed collaborators for the album include the late Pimp C, Ludacris, Good Charlotte, Z-Ro, Scarface, Three 6 Mafia, Bobby Valentino, and J Holiday.

Rappers, like everyone else, have some dark, embarrassing secrets that they hope would remain just that - secrets. The difference between us and them is that public figures don't have the privilege of being able to deal with embarrassing moments in private like the rest of us. But Ross isn't the only rapper who's had to lick his wounds in public. Here's a rundown of 11 most embarrassing exposures in hip-hop history.

11. Alfamega's Secret Past

Alfamega was originally a member of T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records. This changed after the ever reliable Smoking Gun website outed him as a former DEA informant, a no-no in many hip-hop circles. Consequently, Mega was publicly kicked out of Grand Hustle by his boss via a radio interview. After the information leaked on the web Alfa consistently tried to dismiss the rumor, much like Rick Ross before him. Still, that wasn't enough to save his career in a culture that generally frowns on "snitching."

10. Akon or Con Man?

Akon has repeatedly embellished his past in interviews and on his songs. He often touts his past reputation as the ring leader of a notorious car theft ring. He claims to have been locked up for 3^1/2 years. His claim to fame was a catchy single titled "Locked Up," in which 'Kon gave a seemingly autobiographical account of prison desolation. In fact, Akon was so obsessed with his felonious past that he named his label Konvict Music. That sound you hear at the beginning of every song he produces? That's the sound of a clanking jail door.

A Smoking Gun investigation of Akon's alleged criminal past revealed some discrepancies. Akon has been arrested several times, but the man who titled his 2nd album Konvicted has never served time.

9. Dr. Dre in Pumps and Mascara

At the height of the Eazy-E vs Dr. Dre beef in 1992, the feuding friends traded insults non-stop. Just when it appeared as if Dre had sealed the deal with "Dre's Day," Eazy-E rebounded with "Real Muthafuckin' Gs." Eazy-E attacked Dre and Snoop, dubbing them studio gangsters who had never really witnessed the harsh realities of the "hood," but that wasn't the highlight. He devoted plenty of airtime to Dre's past as a member of the electro-pop group World Class Wrecking Cru' saying that he dressed in drag outfit while in the group. "Damn it’s a trip how a n-gga can go so quick from wearing lipstick to smoking on chronic at picnics," he rapped. Eazy also threw in a promo pic of Dre from 1986 dressed in pumps and mascara to boot.

8. Eve's Dirty Secret

Ma$e ran into Eve at a strip club years before she became a rap star, but he never mentioned it to anyone. Some internet jerk who stumbled upon pictures of Eve from her stripping days, on the other hand, wasn't so nice. In 2003, as Eve was in the middle of revamping her image in her new career as an artist and actress, unflattering pics of her in full-on stripper outfit surfaced on the web to the amusement of many. Some of the photos showed the Ruff Ryders' first lady in a compromising position with another woman. She later denied being a lesbian, saying that the other lady had been Photoshopped into the original pictures. But there was nothing doctored about the sex tape which turned up a couple years after the stripper expose.

7. Eminem's N-Bomb Fiasco

In a desperate attempt to paint Eminem as a racist, The Source founders Benzino and Dave Mays emerged with a tape that caught a 17-year old Marshall Mathers using the N-word. On one of the songs from the 1988 tape, an amateurish Eminem spewed hateful venom at black women: "All the girls I like to bone have big butts/No they don't, 'cause I don't like that nigger shit/I'm just here to make a bigger hit."

Eminem later explained that he wrote the song out of anger, having gone through a nasty break-up with his black girlfriend. He apologized and took the time to detail the entire saga on "Yellow Brick Road," one of his best songs ever.

6. Young Buck's Emotional Breakdown

Before he was unceremoniously dismissed from 50 Cent's G-Unit crew, Young Buck spent plenty of time airing the group's dirty laundry. In various interviews, the Tennessee rapper claimed 50 owed him some royalties and that he was getting screwed in his deal. To stir up buzz for G-Unit's T.O.S. album, 50 unleashed an old phone conversation with Buck to the web. Throughout the call, Young Buck mentioned that he owes 50 some money while telling his boss about his own financial plight. At some point, he broke down over his dismissal from the Unit, "Sh*t got me confused, man," he said repeatedly. To which 50 Cent coyly replied, "You'll be alright, don't worry about it."

5. The Source's Fall from Glory

When pioneering hip-hop magazine The Source went bankrupt, the last explanation its Board of Directors expected to hear was, "Um...sorry, Dave and I spent all the money on weed and bling bling." Like a 7-headed dragon, their problems multiplied and attacked from various angles. A Manhattan lithographer sued for $30,000. A 5th Ave. jeweler petitioned for a $36,000 dent. The magazine's travel agent was owed $142,000. Former Editor-in-Chief Kim Osorio filed a sexual harassment lawsuit. Osorio's description of The Source work environment sounded like something straight out of a movie: a "raunched-out workplace where executives watched porn, smoked pot and called female employees b*tches."

4. Lies, Lies, Baby

For a while in 1990 or thereabout, everyone on the planet was combing through Vanilla Ice's past to see they could find any discrepancies in his stories. Ice repeatedly told the media that he had been raised in the mean streets of Miami. Adding salt to injury, Ice gave 3 different accounts of an incident, in which he claimed he was stabbed 5 times and lost half of his blood. It was later discovered that the tough-talking Ice wasn't raised in the streets. Robert van Winkle actually spent the better part of his teen life in an affluent Dallas suburb. His stories about attending an all-black Florida high school and living a rugged life of crime were revealed to be tall tales

3. Officer Rick Ross

Though Rick Ross modeled his rap persona after a famous drug kingpin, Freeway Rick Ross. In reality, Ross' past most resembles that of the men who cuff drug dealers than a kingpin. When photos of a young Rick Ross in prison guard uniform turned up on the web, Rick Ross consistently denied the reports. He insisted that it was a doctored image aimed at assassinating his character. It was after a pile of documents from the Florida State Department of Corrections later showed that Rick Ross had, in fact, worked as a Corrections Officer that he finally owned up to his noble past. "In the game we in, it's real competitive," Ross later explained. "Competitors have to do what they have to do to eat."

2. Nas and Jay Had Something in Common

Many theories exist on why Jay-Z and Nas found themselves embroiled in one of the most dramatic feuds in hip-hop history. Was Nas envious of Jay's commercial exploits? Was Jay dissing Nas' girlfriend on "Is That Your Chick"? Nas' ex-girl Carmen Bryan claims she's the unintentional brain behind the beef. Both MCs initially tried to conceal the fact that Carmen, who has a daughter with Nas, had anything to do with the feud. In her memoir, Bryan reveals intimate details of her romp with Jay-Z and how it impacted the beef. In the same vein, Jay-Z admitted to the affair on "Super Ugly." Disgusted by her son's rhymes, Gloria Carter demanded that Jay apologize publicly to Nas and his family. He obliged.

1. Cam'ron's No Snitching Campaign

During a 2007 appearance on 60 Minutes to discuss the role of snitching in urban communities, Anderson Cooper asked Cam'ron what he'd do if he knew a murderer lived next door. Cam's response defied reasoning and ignored common sense: "If I knew a serial killer was living next door to me? I wouldn't call and tell anybody on him. But I'd probably move. I'm not going to call and be like, 'The serial killer's in 4E.'" Cam went on to say that snitching was in strict violation of his code of ethics and he would never condone it. After a Smoking Gun article unearthed document proving Cam's cooperation with authorities in 1997, he quickly found himself singing from a different hymn book. Cam apologized for his earlier statement.

Dakota Fanning to Star in Wizard of Oz Sequel?

Dakota Fanning might be following the yellow-brick road soon.

British newspaper Express reports that the New Moon actress is being considered for the starring role in an upcoming sequel to The Wizard of Oz, which would be "darker and more action-packed" than the 1939 original.

Producer Basil Iwanyk explains, "It will be set in the present day and feature Dorothy’s granddaughter.”

Adds co-producer Todd McFarlane, "You’ve still got Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she’s much closer to the Ripley character from Alien [Sigourney Weaver] than a helpless singing girl.”

Filming on the project could begin next year.

Mos Def House of Blues Concert Review (Houston)

Aight, so it's been super busy at my job. Normally I post about 10 things a day, I'll be back on it come Monday..Sorry you guys...Well, here's the latest. I loathe the fact that I couldnt physically be there to witness this but hey, I can hear about it right??

Critics love to carp that today's hip-hop is devoid of substance and creativity. Mos Def's latest, The Ecstatic, is a perfect example of a rap album that nullifies this argument. With Madlib manning the boards, Mos found his groove and made a compelling follow-up to the classic Black on Both Sides.

So, imagine my excitement as I walked into House of Blues to catch M-Def's live show for the first time. Houston is far removed from the elaborate live music scenes of New York and Atlanta, so whenever we can get a premier MC to perform on our soil it's like Christmas in summer.

Jay Electronica Shines

At 9:50, Jay Electronica casually strolls onto the stage. At first, I thought he was the stage manager. Clad in a plain red shirt and beige shorts, Jay Electronia looked nothing like your typical rapper. That's a compliment. On stage, this intently lyrical newcomer is in rare form. He kicks off the show on positive note, "We're only dealing with positive energy here." When a couple of fans get into an altercation, he extends an apology to the offended kid "on behalf of" the offender.

He showcases a slew of Dilla-produced hits, including "So What You Saying," pausing to interact with the crowd after every song. In fact, Jay talked his way through most the show. Halfway into his set, a visibly inebriated lady leaps on stage and throws herself at Jay's feet. A security guard attempts to yank her from the stage but Jay reaffirms his "positive energy" theme, "Nah, it's cool. It's all love in here." Is this still a rap concert?

Through storytelling and interaction overload, Jay manages to retain the crowd's attention. This is no easy feat when half your set consists of a cappellas and freestyles. He spots a white gentleman who's rhyming along to every song and smiles in disbelief.

My gripe with his set was that he omitted everyone's favorite J.E. song, "Eternal Sunshine," which ranked high on our 2008 Best Rap Songs list. Instead, he decides to lace one of the verses from that song atop Drake's "Uptown." Hometown veteran Bun B graces the stage, the crowd goes beserk. Jay pays homage to the hip-hop elder statesman.

At 10:16, he exits the stage for another veteran.

Mos Def Inspires the Crowd

By the time the curtain reopens at 11:16, Mos Def is firmly planted on the drums banging out the introductory track from Ecstatic, "Supermagic." Like the album it promotes, Mos Def's set contributes three consecutive songs to a delightfully rousing opening. A lively offering of "Casa Bey" is immediately followed by an interlude of the obscure Ghostdoom collaboration "Charlie Brown." Someone yells "MF DOOM!" probably in a bid to communicate his presence to fellow Doom nerds.

In concert, Mos breathes poetry. His enunciation is crispy, his demeanor permanently amused. He cruises through his catalog in reverse, moving from The Ecstatic to Tru3 Magic and on to The New Danger, in that order. When he touches down on Black Star's "Definition," he evokes the spirit of '99. The kids are jumping around and mouthing off every rhyme. The crowd is ecstatic.

It's 11:48 and by now the alcohol is flowing freely. A pair of black bra comes flying on stage. Mos gingerly kicks it and carries on with the program. He hops back on the drums and literally bangs out a medley of hits. The execution is far from smooth, but his desire to give the audience a memorable show is undeniable.

That said, his rendition of "Quiet Dog" on drums was by far one of the best moments of the evening. He instructs the lighting team to turn off the lights. This sets up the mood for a three-song Michael Jackson tribute which culminated with "Billie Jean" and the requisite moonwalk.

Around 12:45 Mos enters the final lap with his three biggest hits -- "Ms. Fat Booty," "Umi Says," and "Travelin' Man." It was the perfect way to cap off an evening of intense album hopping.

Gender Testing for South African Track Teen

BERLIN (AP)—Facing questions about her gender, South African teenager Caster Semenya easily won the 800-meter gold medal Wednesday at the world championships.

Semenya’s dominating run came on the same day track and field’s ruling body said she was undergoing a gender test because of concerns she does not meet requirements to compete as a woman.

Semenya took the lead at the halfway mark and opened a commanding lead in the last 400 meters to win by a massive 2.45 seconds in a world-leading 1 minute, 55.45 seconds. Defending champion Janeth Jepkosgei was second and Jennifer Meadows of Britain was third in 1:57.93.

About three weeks ago, the international federation asked South African track and field authorities to conduct the verification test. Semenya had burst onto the scene by posting a world-leading time of 1:56.72 at the African junior championships in Maruitius.

Her dramatic improvement in times, muscular build and deep voice sparked speculation about her gender. Before the race, IAAF spokesman Nick Davies stressed this is a “medical issue, not an issue of cheating.” He said the “extremely complex, difficult” test has begun but results were not expected for weeks.

The test requires a physical medical evaluation and includes reports from a gynecologist, endocrinologist, psychologist, internal medicine specialist and gender expert.

South Africa team manager Phiwe Mlangeni-Tsholetsane would not confirm or deny that Semenya was having such a test.

“We entered Caster as a woman and we want to keep it that way,” Mlangeni-Tsholetsane said. “Our conscience is clear in terms of Caster. We have no reservations at all about that.”

Although medals will be awarded for the 800, the race remains under a cloud until the investigation is closed, and Semenya could be stripped of the gold depending on the test results, IAAF general secretary Pierre Weiss said.

“But today there is no proof and the benefit of doubt must always be in favor of the athlete,” Weiss said.

Classic Video Games in Real Life Situations

Hamburg-based photographer Patrick Runte recreates scenes from old school videos games in his Oskar Schlemmer-inspired Jump ‘n’ Run series. Pacman, Space Invaders, Pong, and more are all composed in real life situations where Runte has set up depictions of the video games. This is what Runte has to say about his real world counterparts he created: “The work is inspired by Oskar Schlemmer and his idea of the ‘Triadic Ballett’ and the term ‘Streetplay’”, Runte explains. “I wanted to compile old video games, which are based on simple geometric forms and make them able to be experienced / felt by the human body.”

Its been rumored for weeks with dozens of what seemed to be fake mock ups floating on the web, but Sony has just officially announced the redesigned PlayStation 3 at CamesCom in Cologne. The new 120g PlayStation 3 is over 30% smaller, lighter and uses over 30% less power than the old model and will feature a 120 gig hard drive and its set to be available at the end of September 2009 at a new $299US price. We’re really liking the design and think that Sony PlayStation is making the right move in trying to get back into the gaming-game since it fell to no. 3 console in the market after the Wii and Xbox 360. The new 120g PlayStation 3 can already be pre-ordered right here.
