One of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain. ~ JBaldwin

Eminem - "The Warning"

Man Eminem is getting soft. These day’s he’s giving people a warning to leave him alone. Granted the song was more of a jab at Mariah Carey and the lyrics are very rude. I can’t wait to hear what Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are going to do next. Nick promised to ruin Eminem’s career if he didn’t leave his wife alone. Not exactly sure how he intends on doing that.

Check out the song and let me know what you all think. I have added the lyrics after the jump so that you won’t miss what he’s saying.

Eminem - The Warning

Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me
Now I’m pissed off
Sit back and relax homey, kick back and relax, grab a six pack while I kick facts
Yeah Dre’s sick track, perfect way to get back
Wanna hear something wick wack?
I got the exact same tat that’s on Nick’s back
I’m obsessed now
Oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee
Wow Mariah, I didn’t expect her to go balls out
Bitch, shut the fuck up before I put all them phone calls out you made to my house when you was wild n out before Nick
When you was on my dick and give you somethin to smile about
How many times you fly to my house? Still trying to count
Better shut your lying mouth if you don’t want Nick finding out
You probably think cuz it’s been so long if i had something on you I woulda did it by now
On the contrary, Mary Poppins, I’m mixing our studio session down and sending it to mastering to make it loud
Enough dirt on you to murder you
This is what the fuck I do
Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?
However you prefer to do and goes for you too, Nick, faggot
You think I’m scared of you?
You gonna ruin my career you better get one
Like I’ma sit and fight with you over some slut bitch cunt who made me put up with her psycho ass over 6 months and only spread her legs to let me hit once
Yeah, what you gonna say? I’m lucky? Tell the public that I was so ugly that you fucking had to be drunk to fuck me?
Second base? What the fuck you tell Nick, punk?
In the second week we was dry humping. It’s gotta count for something.
Listen, girly. Surely you don’t want me to talk about how I nutted early cos ejaculated early and bus all over your belly, and you almost started hurling and said I was gross, go get a towel you’re stomachs curling. Or maybe you do.
But if I’m embarrassing me, I’m embarrassing you and don’t you dare say it isn’t true.
As long as the song’s getting airplay I’m dissing you.
I’m a hair away from getting carried away and getting sued.
I was gonna stop at 16. This is 32. This is 34 bars. We ain’t even a third of the way through.
Damn, Slim. Mariah played you. Mariah who?
Oh did I say ”whore”, Nick? I meant a liar too.
Like I’ve been goin off on you all this time for no reason.
Girl you out ya alcholic mind. Check ya wine cellar. Look at all the amounts of wine.
Like I sit around and think about you all the time.
I just think this is funny when I pounce you on a rhyme.
But it now i’m about to draw the line.
And for you to cross it that’s a mountain that I doubt you wanna climb.

I can describe areas of your house that you wouldn’t find on an episode of Cribs
A blubba load ribs if I hear another word so don’t go opening your jibs cos every time you do it’s just another load of fibs
I ain’t saying this shit again, ho. You know what it is.
It’s a warning shot for before I blow up ya whole spot
Call my bluff and I’ll release every fucking thing I got
Including the voicemails right before you flipped your top
When me and Luis were tryin’ to stick two CD’s in the same spot
(Slim Shady I love you)
I love you too
Let me whisper sweet nothings into your ear, boo. Now what you say?
(It’s nothing)
Guess what I’ll do?
I’ll refresh your memory when you said ”I want you”
Now should I keep going or should we call truce?
(You think you’re cute, right? Hahaha)
You bet your sweet ass I do
(I’m Mary Poppins, b)
And I’m Superman, mmm
(Mary P. Slim Shady)
Comin’ at you
So if you’ll still be my (babygirl)
Then I’ll still be your (Superhero, Wilma M.)
Yeah, I’m right here
(You like this)
Nope. Not anymore, Dear.
It cuts like a (knife) when I tell ya get a (life)
But I’m movin on with mine
Nick, is that your (wife)
Well tell her to shut her mouth then I’ll leave her alone
If she don’t (sing this script?) then I’ma just keep goin
(I se Mary Ann. Mary Ann’s saying ”cut the tape, cut the tape”. Knife!)

5 Cases of Hip-Hop Fans-Turned-Frenemies

Hip-hop is a very competitive game. Sometimes that competitive firepower yields some of the best music. Occasionally, it turns friends into enemies. Here are 5 creepiest cases of fans-turned-frenemies.

5. Canibus and LL Cool J

Before the diss songs (damn good diss songs, if I may add) Canibus adored LL Cool J. So much so that Bis became obsessed with a tattooed mic and challenged LL to a battle. That mic tat was the subject of discussion on many a Canibus songs. Eventually, Canibus called Cool J and apologized for his actions, while constantly reminding LL that he was an idol.

4. Joe Budden and Jay-Z

Joe Budden was supposed to be the next Jay-Z. Though his debut album didn't exactly do Jay-Z numbers, Joey's admiration for his erstwhile Def Jam boss has been well documented. In fact, if you threw Budden's musical DNA under a microscope you'll probably find traces of Jay-Z's style in it. However, things went sour between the two after Budden parted ways with Def Jam. It's unclear whether Jay-Z had any role to play in his exit, but Joe Budden wasn't asking questions. He unleashed several subliminal disses on his idol, including "Talk to 'Em" freestyle where he rapped: "Take off the blazer, loosen’ up the tie. N***a fell in love and Superman died."

3. The Source and Eminem

Eminem Source Cover
The Source has clearly had a love-hate relationship with Eminem. One moment the house that Dave Mays and Benzino built was lauding Eminem in their 'Unsigned Hype' column, the next moment they were waging an all-out war against the global phenom they once cosigned.

2. Jay-Z and Nas

© Def Jam
It's entirely possible that prior to his Reasonable Doubt days, Jay-Z would ride around blasting Nas' Illmatic on max. There's an overwhelming evidence pointing to Jay-Z's admiration for Nas' lyricism. First, Jay actually invited his fellow NY rapper to collaborate with him on Reasonable Doubt, but Nas allegedly flaked out. Jay-Z also sampled Nas twice on "Dead Presidents II" and "Rap Game/Crack Game." Five years later, the two were engulfed in one of the greatest hip-hop battles ever. They later squashed the beef and went on to collaborate on three songs, including Nas' "Black Republican."

1. The Game and Jay-Z

The Game has built an entire career off of beef. Sometimes that means hurling insults at his idols to round up some buzz. Game has been known to namedrop Jay-Z in songs, yet he couldn't resist the urge to attack Jigga on various songs, including the latest "I'm So Wavy." Interestingly enough, Jay-Z has chosen to ignore him which seems to irk Game more.

Lil Wayne Introduces Young Money Crew

If you've ever found yourself wondering who exactly is part of Lil Wayne's Young Money crew, wonder no more. Sway at MTV caught up with Wayne after a recent concert and asked him to describe his Young Money crew and what makes each of them special. The Young Money group album is slated for November 24. Check out the video and good luck remembering the other two names besides Nicki Minaj.

Final Big Pun Recordings To Release In September

In Big Pun's lifetime, he was only alive to witness one album release, 1998's critically-acclaimed Capital Punishment. Just months after the iconic rapper's 2000 passing, Yeeeah Baby also released. Both efforts released on Loud Records, and both debuted at #1 on the Rap/R&B charts. After a 2001 greatest hits compilation, Endangered Species, 2009 promises to close the book on unheard music from the late, great Christopher Rios.

On September 15th, director Vlad Yudin will release his film Big Pun: The Legacy [click to read] on Vladar/Czar, through Universal. In conjunction with the film release, The Legacy: The Best Of Big Pun will be released, featuring exclusive music from the film will be released the same day. The release will come through Columbia/Legacy.

The soundtrack includes the reportedly never-before-heard tracks, to be confirmed, in addition to liner notes penned by Vlad Yudin. The official tracklisting has yet to be confirmed. Officials close to the Rios family and estate insist this will be the last music release from Big Pun.

Disappointment in Trae Day

*A community event at Houston's Texas Southern University featuring hometown rapper Trae Tha Truth was cut short Wednesday night by a drive-by shooting that injured six people.

According to the Houston Chronicle, no one was seriously wounded in the incident, which occurred before 9 p.m.

TSU spokesperson Eva Pickens told the paper that an unmarked car pulled up to the campus' parking lot and began to shoot wildly into the crowd, striking some of the partygoers including a male TSU student and a 60-year-old man.

The community-sponsored event gave away school supplies for children, offered train and pony rides, enforced voter registration and provided immunizations and HIV testing.

"The event was something that was very meaningful, very positive" Trae told MTV News. "You have a lot of people who could never pull this off. This was the best event of the year, then we go through what we went through at night when the event is over. No positive light was shed that a couple thousand kids got immunization shots. Families got free backpacks for their children. Nobody sees the positive stuff."

Rappers Bun B and Rick Ross were both at the event — which was also meant to honor Trae's work with at-risk youth in Houston — and Ross performed.

TSU officials said local police are investigating the shooting and believe the event may have been spurred by an ongoing rivalry between two of the city's local gangs from Fresno and Missouri City, a suburb southwest of Houston, CNN reported.

U-N-I – LAND OF THE KINGS

Inglewood rap duo U-N-I are back with a new jab of music. This time they incorporated the essence of a live band giving them a wicked Coldplay-esque vibe to the music. Thurz goes on a metaphorical rant about his Kingship relationship in terms of chess and Y-O takes our minds back into the days of chivalry with an imaginative flow that takes us from blood and war to peak holes and legacies. Don’t let the fashion sense fool you… These men are hip-hop conjured in the form of Y-O the mohawk brigadier and the K.R.E.A.M. (Kicks Rule Everything Around Me) Thurz.

MTV Music Video Premiere for LAND OF THE KINGS will be on this Wednesday, July 22.

I Won't Complain - Rev. Paul Jones

It's been a minute since I posted some real, real, real music on here. This song is a complete example of how my life has been going since Feb. 2008. But it's all good. I'm here right. I happen to work with the artist's brother at a funeral home and I'm also in the same unit as his niece. I hate that God allowed his life to end, but may he Rest in Paradise and continue to uplift spirits with this song.

Jada Pinkett Says ''Sneaky'' Sex Keeps Relationship Alive

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith had sex on the way to this year's Oscars.
The actress - who raises three children with the 'Men in Black' star - admits the pair got carried away while they were being driven to the prestigious ceremony in Hollywood.

She told Shape magazine: "When you have three kids, you've got to take your opportunities when they come. In a limo, on the way to the Academy Awards this year, Will started looking at me in this way that drives me wild. We started kissing passionately, and the next thing I knew, well, let's just say we missed the red carpet and I ended up with almost no make-up on."

This is not the first time Jada has opened up about her adventurous love life with her hunky husband.

She recently claimed having sex at a friend's house keeps relationships alive as does getting intimate in cars or workplaces.

She said: "Be sneaky - your girlfriend's house at a party. The bathroom. A bedroom.

"Think of places outside that are comfortable to have sex.

"Does he have access to his office? Have a fantasy date. Be his secretary! Pull over on the side of the road... Just switch it up.

"Anything like that can keep it going. Anything it takes to keep the flame alive."

New TIP ft Keri Hilson & Scarface... Plus 5 More Audio Tracks

Here's a few tracks from TI that I "stumbled" across. Despite him being incarcerated for a year and a day, he still seems to keep his head up. Hell, if he dont do it, who will ya know. Lets hear some feedback.

Ft. Scarface x Keri Hilson-Bread Up

Ft. Bun B - All The Time

Welcome Back To The Trap

Don’t Give Up

That’s What I Thought

Robin Thicke Ft. T.I. - Magic (Remix)

T.I. (Feat Mary J. Blige) - Remember Me

After watching this video, I was damn near in tears. The scenarios are so real and it's all true. Just peep the vid and comment.

Nuvo

So I don't drink. The first time I really drank since 2006 was at a club a couple of months back. It's hilarious because I didn't really drink for my birthday. But anyway, I was watching the new Paul Wall - Lemon Drop video and these dudes (him, Johnny Dang and Baby Bash) are drinking Nuvo like it's the most masculine drink out there. A fellow blogger - LACEDOUT - made this statement on Twitter: "damn Nuvo is every hip hop video wtf, drinking champagne liquor that tastes like skittles isnt gangsta." I most defenitley agree. It's a ladies drink, which is clearly stated on the website, so what are these artists doing??? I just dont get it. But you know, hey, if it sells, then it sells right. More power to them. I find Nuvo to be pretty inexpensive as well. So if you ladies are looking for something that's not going to get you tore up, and you just want to be a little mellow, try it out. I havent indulged myself, but I've heard a lot of reviews about it. 'Tis all for now. iHolla.

TABLES TURN ON KARRINE STEFFANS: New DVD documentary featuring singer Norwood alleges fake tears on Oprah and more.

Before you indulge....WTHeck is this girl thinking?? Did you not get enough money from the book???? Like c'mon now.

*Karrine "Superhead" Steffans is getting a taste of her own medicine with the release of "Kiss and Tail," a DVD documentary featuring singer Norwood Young that reveals even more secrets about the former music video vixen than she has already told.

In the video, Young claims that Steffans admitted faking her tears during an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to promote her 2006 best-seller, "Confessions of a Video Vixen."

Per the New York Daily News, Young also claims in the film that Steffans secretly recorded men during sex, and threatened her boyfriend Darius McCrary with a knife.

McCrary himself appears in the documentary. Even though Steffans says he's now her husband, he calls her a "scorpion" and alleges she "socks" her 11-year-old son.

Steffans declined to comment, except to say she's talking with her lawyers.

As part of the Nightmare Pack they present two colorway of the high top sneaker, both coming with patent leather black uppers, one featuring fading green, the other one fading pink accents on the straps. Overall a pretty strong pack and probably the most interesting Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Strap’s we have seen in a while.

10 Hip Hop Classics Inspired by Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson revolutionized music with his dance moves, thrilled the world with his music videos, and captivated everyone with his eccentricities. He had the unique ability to blend various genres in one musical gumbo, without losing his own identity. Over the years, hip-hoppers have shown gratitude to the Gloved One through the art of sampling.

As the world marks the King of Pop's memorial service, here are 10 hip-hop classics that sampled Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson thrilled fans with his music videos, revolutionized pop music with his dance moves, and captivated everyone with his eccentricities. He had the unique ability to marry rock, pop, R & B, and hip-hop music, without losing his musical identity. Over the years, hip-hop has often paid tribute to the King of Pop through the art of sampling. Here are 10 hip-hop classics that sampled Michael Jackson.

10. 2Pac - "Letter 2 My Unborn"

© Interscope
Sample: Michael Jackson - "Liberian Girl"

"Letter to My Unborn," one of the 879 posthumous 2Pac singles, is taken from his 2001 album Until the End of Time. It sampled Michael Jackson's 1989 smash "Liberian Girl," off of Bad. Another 2Pac song, "The Thug in Me," and MC Lyte's "Keep on Keeping On" also sampled "Liberian Girl." At the beginning of the original version of "Thug in Me," Pac tells his producer: "I like that beat that MC Lyte got. Johnny J, flip that sh*t. Let's do that sh*t like over."

9. Trae - "Swang"

© Rap-A-Lot
Sample: Michael Jackson - "With A Child's Heart"

The original version of Trae's "Swang" sampled MJ's "Lady in My Life". However, Trae's label was unable to clear the rights for the sample. As a result, Trae was forced to re-record the song over a different beat. Still, the OG version remains one of the best hip-hop songs to ever sample MJ.

8. Puff Daddy - "It's All About the Benjamins"

© Bad Boy Records
Sample: Jackson 5 - "It's Great to Be Here"

"It's All About the Benjamins," which features Lil Kim, The LOX & Notorious B.I.G., is probably Puffy's biggest hit ever. It climbed all the way to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and its won a "Viewer's Choice" award at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards for the music video. The song's DNA is comprised of Love Unlimited's "I Did It For Love" and Jackson 5's "It's Great to Be Here."

7. Q-Tip - "Move/Renaissance Rap"

© Universal Motown
Sample: Jackson 5 - "Dancing Machine"

Q-Tip sampled Jackson 5 on "Fight/Love" and "Move/Renaissance Rap," both taken from his critically acclaimed Renaissance LP. The latter, produced by J Dilla, borrows elements of J5's "Dancing Machine." The Rik Cordero-directed video also alludes to Jackson's "You Rock My World" video.

6. J Dilla - "Time (The Donut of the Heart)"

© Stones Throw
Sample: Jackson 5 - "All I Do Is Think of You"

"All I Do Is Think of You" is a favorite among Jackson 5 fans. The ballad, which appears on Jackson 5's Moving Violation, is also one of the group's most sampled tunes. A slightly faster, albeit equally melancholic, version of the song forms the backbone of Dilla's "Time - Donut of the Heart," off his critically-acclaimed 2006 album, Donuts. The Roots later used the same track as for the album closer, "Can't Stop This", on 2007's Game Theory.

5. Big Pun - "You Ain't A Killer"

© Relativity
Sample: Michael Jackson - "With a Child's Heart"

"You Ain't A Killer" is a standout cut from Pun's 1996 LP, Capital Punishment. The piano loops harvested from the first six seconds of "With a Child's Heart" ends up serving as the backdrop of Pun's 4-minute gem. The cinematic beat compliments Pun's gritty flow and the effect is as timeless as hip-hop itself. Khrysis also sampled "With a Child's Heart" for Little Brother's brilliant "Watch Me," from The Minstrel Show.

4. Naughty By Nature - "O.P.P."

© Tommy Boy
Sample: Jackson 5 - "ABC"

Naughty By Nature struck gold with their 1991 hit single "O.P.P.," which sampled the Jackson 5 hit. The irrepresibly catchy "O.P.P." helped propel Naughty By Nature's self-titled debut to platinum status. It remains one of the biggest crossover hits hip-hop has ever witnessed.

3. Ghostface Killah - "All That I Got Is You" (Ft. Mary J Blige)

© Epic
Sample: Michael Jackson - "Maybe Tomorrow"

This 1996 masterwork offered an early indication of Ghost's penchant for soulful samples. It samples Jackson 5's "Maybe Tomorrow," with young Michael on lead vocals. Ghost tapped songstress Mary J. Blige and an eloquent Popa Wu to add even more soul power to an already fierce RZA beat. Ghostface supposedly wrote the song as a tribute to his mother.

2. De La Soul - "Breakadawn"

Sample: Michael Jackson - "I Can't Help It"

When you hear "Breakadawn," the 1993 single from De La Soul's Buhloone Mindstate, the first thing that jumps out at you is the riveting sample. Prince Paul incorporates a mix of live instrumentation and elements from Jackson's "I Can't Help It," taken from Off the Wall.

1. Nas - "It Ain't Hard to Tell"

© Columbia
Sample: Michael Jackson - "Human Nature"

What do Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" and Nas' "It Ain't Hard to Tell" have in common? For starters, they're both cold classics. Illmatic is often heralded as one of the best hip-hop albums ever. This Large Professor-laced gem from Nas' opus owes its success to the late King of Pop.

Sweet Dreams

Here she go with the plain videos...But I'm loving the song.

B.o.B.- Put Me On

Turn Your Car into a Mobile Masterpiece

Mini Coopers were always cool — small, fun, and easy to modify, what’s not to love? Portland-based artist Matt W. Moore has taken the Mini Cooper to a level of cool, it’s positively geeky. The artist pays homage to the arcade games of yore with two extremely awesome autos.
Tricked out in the classic and classy motifs of Pac-Mac and Space Invaders, these mighty minis are sure to have all eyes on them.
The lesson here is arithmetic: gaming + art + auto = one sweet ride. The gaming gods are pleased.

Is Wale the Greatest New Rapper Since Jay-Z?

SHEEEEIIIIIIIIT, you know MY answer to this question...OF COURSE bitches... DUDE is mad talented, but of course there are other rappers that are talented as well. I personally dont think that the US is ready for a rapper of Wale's caliber. But that's JUST MY OPINION...You guys have to check him out for yourselves.

Is Wale the greatest new rapper since Shawn Carter? We'll know in September. That's when Wale's eagerly awaited debut LP, Attention Deficit, is scheduled to arrive. The album includes his collaboration with Lady GaGa, "Chillin', and a recently leaked summer jawn titled "Pretty Girls."

I understand why everyone is high on Wale right now. He's arguably the No.1 draft pick of 2009. However, it's laughable to crown as him "the greatest rapper since Jay-Z." Is the print industry hurting so bad that GQ needs to pull a stunt to keep circulation rolling? In fact, Lupe Fiasco had a much better track record as a rookie MC. Lupe's deadly combo of lyrical competence and commercial viability made him an instant threat. You could say the same for Game and his first outing.

Though Wale hasn't had a chance to fully prove his mettle, he's shown flashes of brilliance on his mixtapes and guest verses. 2008's A Mixtape About Nothing was more compelling than most people's albums, and he almost stole the show from veteran Black Thought on "Rising Up." Still, I'm not drunk enough on the Wale buzz to crown him the "next great" anything. I'm withholding my judgment until we see how much of his mixtape skills and guest features translate to an album worth shelling out 15 bucks in these hard times for.

As for GQ's claim, well, GQ should stick to fashion.

Score the Bella Twilight jacket

I honestly would ROCK the shit outta this jacket...I happened to like the movie and will be the first in line to see New Moon...If you havent checked out Twilight, check it out. Read the books too yah dig.

The universe has Twilight fever.

ChickDowntown.com

ChickDowntown.com

I have yet to see the movie - but I hope to SOON. (Or at least own the book for plane reading…did I mention I’m going to Mexico in six days???)

But anyway, I am digressing (yet again).

You Twilight fans probably remember a certain jacket featured in this hit movie.

Bella wears a cozy drawstring hooded jacket by BB Dakota, and now, at my very favorite store on the “interweb”, we can too. ChickDowntown.com HAS the Bella jacket!

I had actually seen this jacket before, on eBay. There, it is highly coveted, and so hard to come by that sellers are racking in serious dough to shell out the few they had available. But now, their fun is up…you can buy it for under $65!

Aside from the cinema-appeal, the jacket is totally cute. It has fleece lining, ribbed cuffs, distressed pockets, and everything you need to be sporty chic - and score Robert Pattinson, it seems.

BET bosses under fire for Wayne's Performance

Besides the fact that Mack Maine clearly states in this song " In about 3 years, holla at me Miley Cyrus" I knew B.E.T. was going to be in some kind of trouble with this song and having the KIDS on stage. Here's the latest about Wayne's performance on the B.E.T. Awards.

BET Bosses under fire for Lil Wayne Performance

The organisers of the BET Awards have come under fire for letting LIL WAYNE perform his controversial EVERY GIRL tune at Sunday’s (28Jun09) ceremony – backed by a troupe of teenage dancers.

Celebrated Columbia University scholar Dr. Janet Taylor has taken aim at BET CEO Debra Lee for allowing the hip-hop star’s performance at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium to go uncensored.

The mother of four watched the awards show with her daughters and was left horrified when Lil Wayne launched into his "degrading" sex hit during an onstage collaboration with Drake.

The track begins with, "I like a long haired thick red bone/Open up her legs then filet Mignon that p**sy/Ima get in and on that p**sy/If she let me in Ima own that p**sy."

Dr. Taylor tells MomLogic.com, "I enjoy rap with the exception of rappers who use lyrics to degrade, defame or threaten others… I don’t have a problem with Lil Wayne ; he is creative and his writing is brilliant at times. However, his song Every Girl is offensive and disturbing.

"Perhaps they are what our kids are used to. I have teenagers, girls no less, who have heard the song and like it. My problem was the teens who were proudly on stage, shaking their groove thang to this misogynistic, disrespectful song. It was ridiculous.

"Debra Lee, who is also the mother of two children, should be asking herself who approved this and how these young girls were allowed to be a part of this act."

Dr. Taylor adds, "It is time for perspective here. In the minutes that were wasted on stage during this song, almost four women were forcibly raped in the United States. The age group 13-17, that these young dancers belong, include the highest victims of forcible rape, at 32 per cent.

"Why are we, as women and mothers, passively allowing our young girls to be utilised as sexual entertainment ? We need to wake up and understand the importance of what we expose our children and teens to."

Waddup, waddup you know me grinding as usual, trying to stay focused and make power moves.

Jumping right into it… tell us about your project coming out with Shady Records capo Cashis?

Well, me and Cashis are working on a project called The Usual Suspects Vol.1. We already released the first single called “Ain’t No Tellin” which is produced by my dude Omega. We recently released the second single from the project called “What Up” which features Chamillionaire and is produced by Shady’s own Rikanatti. The record is getting a great response. So the project is definitely moving along.

MJ Honored

Sooooo Baseball happens to be my FAV sport of all time and I ran across this today:

As Mariners slugger Ken Griffey Jr.(notes) strolled to the plate for his first at-bat Tuesday night, the sound system at Safeco Field grooved to Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean."

Griffey's apparent tribute to the King of Pop, who was memorialized Tuesday, extended beyond the sonic. Close inspection of Griff Jr.'s grip on the bat showed a bare left hand and a white batting glove worn on his right.

Griffey usually wears dark blue gloves on both hands.

From Jim Moore in SeattlePI.com:

Before Tuesday night's game at Safeco Field, Ken Griffey Jr. said he was going to honor Michael Jackson by wearing one white batting glove in his first at-bat, and I thought he was kidding.

"Man, you're gullible," Griffey said.

Tricky. Griffey's tribute turned out to be earnest and effective. He drew a walk but — sorry — he didn't moonwalk to first base (VIDEO). If he had, Griffey would have been the first big leaguer since Jimmy Piersall in 1963 to go backward 'round the bases.

In his subsequent at-bats, Griffey reverted to his usual two-gloved stance. He finished 1-for-2. No one wants to be defeated, but Griffey's M's were, 12-4, by the Orioles.

After the jump, check out a close-up of Griffey's tribute and an old-school shot of Jackson with everyone's Mommy and Daddy from the '80s.

Griffey struck an accurate pose — MJ also wore his sequined glove on the right hand while going au naturel on the left.

Griffey was barely in his teens when Jackson, at his zenith of popularity, visited the White House in 1984.
